Special thanks to Karl Måseide, Georg Witt, and Werner Eriksen. There was no Optical Meeting in 1989. The abbreviation like "6 AM" was invented in Aberdeen as a mind-teaser. The actual names of the meetings have varied through the years, between "Optical Meeting", "Annual Meeting on ..", "European Meeting ...", ".. on Upper Atmospheric Studies" or just "... on Atmospheric Studies". Please send any additions or corrections to uph@ffi.no.
